To apply the overlay, use the pad of your finger to gently lifte the edge of the patch away from the backing. Center the cut-out (hole) on the patch over the sensor and onto the skin. Adjustments to the patch can be made before the overlay has been pressed down to the skin. The center piece that has been cut-out can be applied to the top of your sensor to complete the patch design (If you are using a GripShield, you may want to do this before applying the overlay and GripShield for a cleaner look). Using a blow dryer on low heat after applying the overlay will help to seal the adhesive to the skin. Avoid getting the patch wet for 4 hours after applying it. After bathing or swimming, be sure to thouroughly dry the patch and sensor site using a clean towel or blow dryer on low heat. Should the edges of the patch ever begin to lift, using a blow dryer on low heat will reactivate the adhesive, and you should be able to press the edges back down to the skin.
