OMNIPOD SHAPED UNDERLAY / BARRIER PATCHES 2.4 INCHES X 3 INCHES

Many of our friends have experienced severe adhesive reactions from the Omnipod adhesives, so we have made some simple unprinted barrier tapes, with the same hypoallergenic tape used in our patches, that will keep the pod adhesive from touching the skin and causing reactions, itching, and adhesive chemical burns.

We recommend that you also use one of our overlay patches to additionally secure your sensor, pod or infusion set.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Clean the skin where you will be applying your pod with alcohol or soap and water, and allow the skin to completely dry.  Remove the Barrier Patch from the paper backing and apply it to the skin.  Follow the steps for filling the pod with insulin, and activating the pod.  Remove the backing from the pod adhesive. Center the pod over the Barrier Patch with the cannula hole aligned with the small hole in the patch.  Apply the pod to the Barrier Patch, smoothing down the pod adhesive, and then pressing firmly to assure adhesion to the patch.  Then complete the steps for inserting the cannula and activating the pod.
