DEXCOM G7 / LIBRE 3 - UNDERLAY / BARRIER PATCHES

Description

DEXCOM G7 / LIBRE 3 - UNDERLAY/BARRIER PATCHES **NEWLY INCREASED SIZE TO 2 INCHES DIAMETER**

Many of our friends have experienced severe adhesive reactions from CGM sensors, so we have made some simple unprinted barrier tapes, with the same hypoallergenic tape used in our patches, that will keep the sensor tape from touching the skin and causing reactions, itching, and/or adhesive chemical burns.

The DEXCOM G7 / LIBRE 3 Circular Shaped Adhesive Barrier patches go under the sensor, protecting you from the adhesives used in the diabetes technology that you use.  The barriers are large enough to protect your skin under Dexcom G7 or Libre 3, yet small enough to be completely covered by our designer patches/overlays.  We recommend that you also use one of our over patches to additionally secure your sensor.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

The barrier patches are designed to be applied to the skin underneath the sensor to protect sensitive skin from the adhesive of the sensor. Clean and allow the skin to dry in the area where you will be applying the sensor.  Remove the paper backing from the sensor and apply the cloth side of the barrier patch to the sensor's adhesive so that the insertion needle goes through the hole in the patch. The off-center hole in the patch will work perfectly with the Dexcom G7 and Libre 3 sensors. With the paper backing still on the patch, press firmly to assure that the sensor is secured to the barrier patch.  Gently peel the backing away from the barrier patch, then apply the the sensor as you normally would to the skin (except that the barrier patch will be your adhesive).  Use one of our overlay patches over the sensor and barrier patch to keep it secured to the skin.  Be sure to pat dry the patches, or use a hair dryer on a low setting to dry the patches, after bathing or showering.
